About Me
- Name: Tomás Estrada-Palma
- Location: Annapolis, MD, United States
Let entrepreneurs into Cuba, keep the tax low and watch the economic explosion happen. Whenever there are more jobs than workers the wages and benefits are driven upward. That's because entrepreneurs compete for a limited supply of workers. Those who lose the competition will not be as successful because they can't grow without more laborers. Finally, the first modern society on the planet will be populated by people who are neither slaves to the pharaohs of industry nor government. Cuban workers will have the best job security in the world!

Tomás, my friend, I'd recommend that you may want to consider taking the time (I know you're short on it right now) to dig deeper into the source of this information before you side with it, should you look at the Board of Directors of the source organization, Just Foreign Policy (JustForeignPolicy.org,) you'd see that it's mainly composed of extreme left wing radicals, a.k.a. Marxists. Be careful whom you side with, your reputation is at stake. Be well.
I take neither side. The mullahs in Iran are religious collectivist. That doesn't mean we should crush the Iranian people who cannot even replace these kooks for Allah. Always remember we are being manipulated for other unsaid reasons that benefit the rulers.
I know you don't take a side, but not everyone knows that is your position, so if someone who is not familiar with your principles were to visit your blog and sees that you're referring to information and talking points put forth by people who do take a position, they might form the wrong opinion about you, this is probably what happened last week when one of your wife's friends came across your blog and erroneously thought that it seemed un-American.
Perhaps it would be helpful to add a qualifier to your statements whenever you want to cite a source that is biased, such action would clarify that while you do not agree with the source's ideology, you've found a particular piece of information that in your opinion is not biased, even though the source is. Remember that perception is extremely important and first impressions usually determine the general opinions that most people get about someone else, right or wrong becomes irrelevant on such moments, once a person becomes classified as a kook, it's very difficult to change people's opinions even when they are incorrect.
Yeah...I guess you have a point. It is better to make your words soft and sweet - in case you have to eat them. But you know how it i?. The older I get the less patient I am.
What exactly did you write that was not true?
