Raul's Dilemma

Raul's Dilemma

Raul must really be feeling snakebit. Here comes the biggest hurricane to hit Cuba in this manner since 1851 and no big brother to give the weather report. Plus how do you tell the Cuban people now that Fidel is dead? No...that will have to wait. Dean will effect the entire island so evacuation will not be much help. Where do you go? At the very least most of Cuba should experience tropical storm winds and if the storm drift 100 miles or so to the north those old run down buildings will be hit by a category 4, even a category 5. However destructive, Raul is sure to get the blame for the misery that will surely follow the storm's wake. You can monitor the storm by going here to this excellent site:

The latest weather reports don't look good. The storm IS projected to drift more northward passing closer to Cuba. Plus it will be a more intense storm for a longer time period. At the very least if Raul is too stupid to do this you must get to the north side of the island. Even there you must not be inside of any of those old building that are already crumbling and stay out of the low areas. Again, get a water supply right NOW.

How scary for our people in the Island, from the last report I heard Dean was going to hit the Yucatan Peninsula, not Cuba, but seems is going to pass near enough to do harm to all the dilapidated buildings in Havana, we must pray for them all
