Let entrepreneurs into Cuba, keep the tax low and watch the economic explosion happen. Whenever there are more jobs than workers the wages and benefits are driven upward. That's because entrepreneurs compete for a limited supply of workers. Those who lose the competition will not be as successful because they can't grow without more laborers. Finally, the first modern society on the planet will be populated by people who are neither slaves to the pharaohs of industry nor government. Cuban workers will have the best job security in the world!

I love when you post about the tourists, can't they see Cubans only make 50 cents a day? what kind of service do you think I would give you for that kind of pay, some of them seem so damn arrogant towards the locals
As long as Cuba keeps getting sold in Europe as the "quaint poor country with the eccentric 'president' and his happy subjects that dance all day and smoke cigars," it's going to take a lot more than crappy service before you see tourism dry up there.
For every story about the horrors of Cuba's hotels and food, you have four articles from travel writers from large European newspaper talking about the trip of a lifetime to Cuba. In between all the wonderful descriptions of barefoot children playing soccer in an empty lot with a can, they tell you of what a great experience visiting Cuba is.
alberto the only reviews I'm reading these days like that are written by Cuban agents.
